Aubrey Semple - Assistant Director of Debate
Riverdale Review: “Where did you work previously?”
Aubrey Semple: “I worked various places, but notably I was the program manager and also debate teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools for about three years. And then prior to that, I was a program director for the New York City Urban Debate League.”
RR: “What are your hopes for this school year?”
AS: “Considering that I’m a new member of the community, I want to become acclimated to the culture of the school; get to know new students and faculty and other members of the community and figure out ways for me to be a part of the community in a way that serves everyone.”
RR: “What is your favorite thing about the fall?”
AS: “It’s an opportunity to start over. You know, if you felt that you had a bad season, it’s a total refresh, reset. Meeting new people, meeting new programs, meeting familiar faces, and just building that community from the beginning of the year.”
