Riverdale Review: “Where did you work previously?”

Nick Brunner: “I was the program director for a program called Goodwill PROS Rebound in Astoria.”

RR: “What are your hopes for this school year?”

NB: “I hope to be able to be a support to the Riverdale community, to be able to, for myself, become oriented and used to a new space. I was not in a school prior to this; my last role was with adults, so I hope to get used to working in a school setting.”

RR: “As a counselor, what support do you offer?”

NB: “For the most part, students can drop by. Sometimes, a dean or a teacher might say, ‘Hey, you might want to check in with this student,’ recommending that I reach out to somebody. But for the most part, it is really just whatever students want to come by, and if they need any extra support or just somebody to talk to, we are here for them.”
