Riverdale Review: What’s one thing all students/teachers should know about you?
CPS: I am patient, I am hardworking, I am very organized with my work, but I am also stubborn with the way I like things. I like creating classes and seeing students learn.
RR: If you could pick a subject to teach that is different from the one you teach now, what would it be and why?
CPS: Easy, philosophy. It is a very abstract concept and there’s no really one answer so I like to learn from people all the time and see different perspectives of people’s realities so I think that it helps you to keep an open mind about everything so there’s not one truth. Depending on where you are in history you can see the evolution of humanity in thinking and human rights.
RR: What advice do you have for Upper School Students?
CPS: Don’t be afraid to try new things. You will always have time to go back and reinvent yourself like I did. You have the right to be wrong. Most importantly, learn from your mistakes and don’t be afraid.
