Riverdale Review: What brought you to Riverdale? What and where was your previous job? 

Lee Beckwith: I worked at a boarding school called Miss Porter’s in Connecticut, and I wanted to try to work at a day school for more work-life balance.

RR: If you could pick a subject to teach that is different from the one you teach now, what would it be and why?

LB: I would teach poetry because I love it! I got to teach some of that at my last job. 

RR: Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what other profession(s) did you consider pursuing? 

LB: I did not want to be a teacher, but I did not want to be a software engineer. However, I do enjoy thinking critically about education.
