The transition to the Upper School is an exciting and reward- ing experience for the ninth grade class. The COVID-19 pandemic and hybrid learning, however, have made that transition more difficult.
While ninth graders in past years have ventured into the wilderness on their annual orientation trips, virtual learning does not al- low for the same bonding experience. Ninth grade athletes also did not have a fall preseason in which they could get to know their other classmates or upperclassmen.
To welcome ninth graders to the Upper School community and to help other grades get to know them, the Riverdale Review sent a fun survey for them to complete. The results are shown here and reflect the 80 ninth graders who completed it.
